Hayes Road Zebra Crossing

Update from Northamptonshire Highways

The current status of the scheme is that the
crossing has been put on hold due to the severe financial crisis at
Northamptonshire County Council. All non-essential spend has been stopped, and consequently we have had to put all of our schemes on hold until the financial position becomes clearer as we enter the new financial year.

A5 Roundabout Road Closure

For a period of FIVE NIGHTS commencing Monday 19th March to Friday 23rd March, the A422 arm of the A5 Old Stratford Roundabout (approach and exit from direction of Buckingham) will be closed

Full overnight closures will be in operation Monday to Friday between the hours of 20:00 – 06:00 hrs.

Saturday and Sundays, during this time, will revert to existing Traffic Management plan and speed restriction of 40 mph.. Read More »

Travellers Camps

DPC have spoken to the Countywide Traveller Unit who are aware of this issue and are assessing the situation.

The rubbish left at the old site has been reported to South Northants District Council who will remove this as soon as possible.

No rise in Precept for 18-19

At January's full council meeting the village precept was agreed for 2017/18. It was agreed to keep it at last year's amount of £89k. The working budget has been agreed at £100.5k, with the shortfall to be made up from the general fund (unspent monies from previous year's precept).
